PSI - Pounds Per Square Inch of Pressure
This specification is extremely important and Koenders Windmills wants you to understand the importance of it.
The higher the PSI level the more pressure the windmill pump can produce. This allows Windmills with high PSI levels to aerate deeper water levels.
For every 2.13 FT of water that you aerate you require 1 PSI of pressure to drive oxygen down to that level. So for example, if you have a pond that is 16 FT deep and you would like to aerate it - then you would require an air pump that produces at least 10-15 PSI - Even at 10 PSI - the amount of air that you would get at the 16 FT depth would be very little if the windmill aeration pump is only able to produce about 10 PSI.
This would mean that the windmill aeration pump is at its PSI range limit and your water would be receiving very low levels of oxygen, measured in CFM of Air.
At 10 PSI Koenders Windmills are at the low range of our PSI limit giving a pond much more CFM of air at the 10 FT pond depth
That is why Koenders Windmill compressors are designed to provide 30 PSI. So that even at levels as low as 30 - 40 FT deep - our windmills are generating significant amounts of oxygen.
Koenders Windmills leads the market in windmill aeration systems and this is one of many key features that makes us the best.
